Turn the knobs or slide to tilt.
One knob turn moves the pump 40 µm at the sample. Shift + arrow keys for bigger steps.

1 mm of travel = 6.67 ps of delay (the retroreflector doubles the path).

Find the Overlap
Your pump and probe beams miss each other. Steer the pump with the mirror and slide the delay stage until the two pulses meet in the sample at the same place and the same time. The cyclohexane spectrum grows as you get closer. Hold 95% overlap to lock in each beam. Three beams; your score is the total time.

How to play
Mirror: drag a knob around to turn it, scroll over it, or use the sliders and ± buttons. X moves the pump in the crossing plane, Y moves it out of the plane (watch the card).
Delay stage: drag the carriage for big moves, turn the micrometer or use the ± buttons for fine steps. The amber bracket is your ruler estimate of where time zero is.
Spectrometer: the bands only appear when the pulses overlap. Maximise them. The trend strip shows the main peak over time, which helps while scanning.
Hold at least 95% overlap for a moment to lock in. Then you see how your pulses sat in time against the sample's single-exponential response.
